Requirements
- 7+ years’ experience in product management, research, commercial or strategy roles within financial services or the index/data industry
- Proven experience with equity and/or multi-asset products, index solutions or investment benchmarks
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and the commercial drivers of index-based businesses
- Experience supporting revenue growth, go-to-market initiatives and client-led product development
- Demonstrated ability to engage clients, synthesise feedback and translate requirements into actionable product initiatives
- Experience balancing client needs with scalability, governance and commercial objectives
- Strong analytical skills, with experience using data to assess product performance, client behaviour and market trends
- Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Python and data platforms used in financial services
- Ability to work effectively across research, policy, sales, technology, operations and marketing teams in a matrix organisation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly to senior stakeholders and clients
- Comfortable producing high-quality product documentation, presentations and commercial materials
- Strong understanding of global equity markets, multi-asset investing and index-based investment solutions (e.g. ETFs, funds and derivatives)
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline
- CFA would be an advantage
What the job involves
We’re looking for a Product Manager to help develop and grow FTSE Russell’s Global Equity and Multi-Asset index offering across EMEA. You’ll work at the intersection of index research, product development and commercial execution—partnering with teams across the business and engaging directly with clients to shape solutions that are relevant, scalable and commercially impactful.
You will be part of a high-performing product management team responsible for developing and growing FTSE Russell’s Global Equity and Multi-Asset index offerings across EMEA. The role sits within a front-to-back product organisation spanning index research, design, governance, commercialisation and client delivery.
You will work closely with index research and policy teams, sales, technology, operations and marketing to scale existing index families, build new capabilities and strengthen FTSE Russell’s impact for clients across institutional and wealth segments.
The role supports delivery of the regional strategy, aligned to global product priorities. Global Equity and Multi-Asset indices are a core growth area for FTSE Russell. This role will contribute to improving the effectiveness, consistency and commercial outcomes of the product management function.
Product Strategy & Execution
- Support the development and execution of product strategy for FTSE Russell’s Global Equity and Multi-Asset index offerings, aligned to global objectives and regional growth priorities
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver products, capabilities and content that meet client needs and create clear commercial value
Market & Competitive Analysis
- Conduct market analysis and competitive benchmarking across equity and multi-asset index solutions to identify client demand, competitive gaps and growth opportunities
- Use market insights to inform product positioning, prioritisation and roadmap decisions
Revenue Growth & Commercialisation
- Collaborate with Sales and Proposition teams to support commercial execution, including client targeting, product positioning and solution design
- Drive revenue growth through increased product adoption, regional expansion and penetration of client segments, including institutional and wealth management
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage directly with clients to gather feedback, understand use cases and translate requirements into product enhancements or new solutions
- Build strong internal and external relationships to support adoption and long-term client partnerships
Go‑to‑Market Strategy
- Partner with Sales, Marketing and Product Delivery on go-to-market planning and execution for new launches and product enhancements
- Provide subject matter expertise for client-facing materials, presentations and product documentation
Data‑Driven Insights & Performance Monitoring
- Analyse product usage, client behaviour and market data to assess performance and identify opportunities to improve or expand offerings
- Support data-driven decision-making across the product lifecycle to improve product–market fit
Reporting & Senior Stakeholder Engagement
- Prepare analysis, updates and materials for internal business reviews and senior stakeholder discussions
- Provide visibility of product progress, market developments and strategic recommendations
