Responsibilities

The PMO Lead plays a critical role in driving governance, risk management, and delivery excellence across the Risk Intelligence Engineering portfolio. This role partners closely with Portfolio, Programme, and Project Managers to ensure robust oversight of delivery performance, resource optimisation, financial control, and adherence to LSEG Group standards. The role provides visibility of portfolio health, supports strategic decision-making, and ensures consistent implementation of best practices across project delivery.

  • Portfolio Governance & Risk Management: Partner with Portfolio, Programme, and Project Managers to identify, assess, and actively manage risks across multiple key portfolios. Ensure compliance with LSEG Group standards for governance, risk management, and delivery controls. Drive proactive risk mitigation strategies and escalate critical issues where required.
  • Portfolio Planning & Resource Management: Track and manage the portfolio pipeline, ensuring accurate and up-to-date visibility of demand and supply. Enable effective workforce planning and resource optimisation across the portfolio. Support prioritisation decisions by aligning resource capacity with strategic objectives.
  • Performance & Reporting: Oversee the preparation and delivery of high-quality portfolio status reports. Provide clear, timely insights to senior management on portfolio progress, key risks and issues, scope changes, and resource impacts. Maintain transparency and consistency in reporting standards across the portfolio.
  • Financial Management: Lead the annual portfolio budgeting process in alignment with strategic priorities. Conduct regular financial reviews to monitor performance against plan. Track and report on key financial metrics, ensuring cost control and value delivery.
  • Portfolio Health & Delivery Excellence: Establish and maintain a holistic view of portfolio health. Implement frameworks to track, measure, and reduce delivery risk at both programme and portfolio levels. Drive continuous improvement in delivery effectiveness and operational performance.
  • Change & Transformation Management: Develop and manage the portfolio change roadmap. Lead the implementation of change management processes, policies, and best practices. Ensure effective adoption of new frameworks, tools, and delivery methodologies.
  • People Leadership & Capability Development: Oversee the work of 3 PMO Analysts, including hiring and onboarding. Support capability development through training, coaching, and knowledge sharing. Perform people leadership responsibilities where required, fostering a high-performing delivery culture.

Qualifications

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
  • Leadership experience, including mentoring or managing delivery professionals.
  • Proven ability to manage portfolio-level governance, risk, and reporting frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing change and driving process improvements.
  • Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and performance tracking.
  • Strong experience in PMO, portfolio, programme, or project management within a complex technology or engineering environment.
  • Expertise in resource management and capacity planning.
