Requirements:

  • A proven technical background.

  • Strong hands-on experience ideally including EKS Kubernetes and Cilium based CNI skills.
  • Knowledge around Kubernetes pipeline driven deployments and automated testing.
  • Recent Linux experience, particularly around Ubuntu.
  • Experience around monitoring/troubleshooting full-stack platforms, particularly Linux-based systems and latency or performance optimised applications.
  • IP routing and network service knowledge.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Working knowledge of Git based pipelines and coding concepts/approaches.
  • Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment across many areas or tasks, with the ability to manage multiple activities against specific timelines.
  • Experience with automation tooling such as Ansible, Terraform, Scripting.
  • Test Automation (Framework Creation/Establishing a process, Infra Testing).
  • Agile/CICD Tools (JIRA, Confluence, Gitlab).

  • The role of Kubernetes/Hybrid Cloud Engineer is an opportunity to develop your career across a variety of leading or new technologies within the container platform, integration or network connectivity group reporting into a strategic Product team.
  • This group is responsible for specialised infrastructure and cloud platform services required globally across LSEG.
  • We are embarking on an exciting transformation of our real-time market data applications onto a new advanced latency-optimised container platform and need innovative problem solvers to help us deliver this capability.
  • This is a technical dev-ops engineering position for someone who can dive deep, build on-premise, hybrid or cloud-optimised IT infrastructure services that will support our real-time high-performance container-based workloads.
  • The role involves elements of design, build engineering, complex migration planning and consultation to deliver business-related outcomes in an agile manner.
  • Collaboration is key, as you will be helping LSEG to deliver all the platform infrastructure build, configuration, tooling, observability, and lifecycle management activities as code.
  • Ownership of Kubernetes and Hybrid Cloud design, build engineering and development activities required to deliver global cloud-native container platform related business outputs.
  • Deployment and test planning/execution for container platform capabilities and features.
  • Providing design, engineering and code reviews that show attention to detail and becoming an advocate for quality within the team.
  • Become a beacon for Kubernetes/Hybrid Cloud knowledge and upskill other squad members/teams within LSEG.
  • Providing good problem structuring and solving skills across complex multi-layered environments and able to work with either vendor or tenant teams to resolve.
  • Review and research potential new products; be a champion for these projects within LSEG.
  • Be comfortable working in a fluid environment where requirements and priorities may change at short notice.
  • Maintain, configure, and validate your Kubernetes Hybrid Cloud Platform development changes across Development, Test and Live environments.
  • Providing consultancy to LSEG colleagues who want to deploy their application onto the new platform and help them to onboard as a tenant.
  • Speak to the platform architects/product owners, articulating the impact of any current business challenges, issues, or new feature requirements in the container platform networking space.
