We are looking for a seasoned AWS Solution Architect with over 10 years of experience in designing and delivering robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions. The ideal candidate should have deep technical expertise across a broad range of AWS services, with a strong focus on data integration, serverless computing, enterprise search, and secure web hosting. This role is critical in shaping our cloud architecture strategy and ensuring alignment with business goals.

  • 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with a strong focus on AWS
  • Hands-on expertise with AWS Glue, Lambda, API Gateway, Kafka
  • Experience with Elasticsearch or similar enterprise search technologies
  • Proficiency in CloudFront, WAF, and other AWS security services
  • Experience hosting and scaling websites using AWS (e.g., S3, EC2, ECS, Amplify)
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, and compliance frameworks
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Desirable:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Experience in enterprise-scale environments or regulated industries
  • Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical partners and to listen to identified concerns and adapt accordingly
  • Ability to influence across multiple functions (technical and non-technical)
  • Quick Leader: Should understand the new implementation patterns and adapt
  • A continuous desire and willingness to learn and develop your current knowledge and abilities
  • Flexible in approach, adapting plans and strategies to help handle risks around ambiguity

This is an excellent opportunity to be one of the key people involved in governing digital and marketing platforms and roadmap across the organisation. As part of the Corporate Technology Architecture team, your role is to guide, advise, and recommend how our digital landscape evolves over the coming years and support the delivery teams offering outstanding solutions.

  • Solution Architecture and implement solutions using AWS Glue, Lambda, API Gateway, and Kafka for both real-time and batch data processing
  • Design and deploy enterprise search platforms such as Elasticsearch to support scalable and efficient data discovery
  • Lead the development and hosting of web applications on AWS, ensuring high availability, performance, and cost-efficiency
  • Define and implement security architectures, including WAF (Web Application Firewall) policies and CDN caching strategies (e.g., CloudFront)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cloud solutions meet security, compliance, and operational requirements
  • Conduct architecture reviews, performance tuning, and cost optimisation exercises
  • Document architectural decisions, patterns, and best practices
  • Work with Business Stakeholders, Product Owners, Business Analysts to understand functional and non-functional requirements and interact with other cross-functional teams
  • Contribute to Customer’s digital marketing strategies based on industry best practices
  • Help project team to size & estimate project implementation and identify resources and skillset needed for delivery of solution
