Real‑Time Distribution sits at the core of how LSEG delivers low‑latency, mission‑critical market data to customers globally. As client architectures, cloud adoption, and operating models evolve, LSEG is defining the next‑generation RT Distribution strategy across RTDS, RTMDS, and managed services.

The Product Manager – Real‑Time Distribution Strategy role is designed to support senior Product Leadership in shaping, validating, and evolving that strategy. The role focuses on problem framing, option analysis, and strategic coherence—helping leaders move faster and with greater confidence—rather than owning end‑to‑end delivery alone. This is a hands‑on product strategy role for someone early‑to‑mid career who wants exposure to large‑scale platform strategy, complex trade‑offs, and executive‑level decision making in a highly technical domain.

What you will do

  • Help define the future RT Distribution strategy
  • Analyse the current RTDS / RTMDS landscape, including customer‑managed and LSEG‑managed models
  • Break down complex strategic questions into clear problem statements, assumptions, and decision options
  • Support the development of coherent, long‑term direction aligned to the RT Distribution vision (cloud‑agnostic, modular, scalable, and future‑ready)
  • Translate vision into structured strategy artefacts
  • Create strategy briefs, option papers, and narrative documents for senior stakeholders
  • Help articulate trade‑offs (e.g. performance vs cost, managed vs customer‑managed, standardisation vs flexibility) in a clear, evidence‑based way
  • Maintain a “single source of truth” view of how RTDS, RTMDS, hosted, and future models fit together
  • Support data‑driven decision making
  • Use quantitative and qualitative inputs (cost‑to‑serve, usage patterns, customer feedback, operational metrics) to test strategic assumptions
  • Partner with analytics, finance, and technology teams to build defensible views on scalability, economics, and risk
  • Highlight gaps, inconsistencies, or unintended consequences in proposed strategies before they reach execution
  • Act as a bridge between strategy and delivery
  • Work with Product Managers and Engineering to ensure strategic intent is reflected in roadmaps and design choices
  • Track whether delivered capabilities meaningfully move the platform toward the target RT Distribution end‑state
  • Surface early signals when execution diverges from strategy
  • Bring the customer and market perspective into the room
  • Synthesize customer, CAF, and field feedback into clear strategic insights
  • Help compare LSEG’s RT Distribution direction with external alternatives and client expectations
  • Ensure strategy reflects real customer operating constraints, not just internal architecture preferences

Required experience and skills

  • 3–5 years experience in product management, product analysis, strategy, or a closely related role
  • Strong ability to structure ambiguous problems and communicate clearly in writing and presentations
  • Comfort working with technical concepts (e.g. distributed systems, cloud platforms, real‑time data flows) without needing to be an engineer
  • Analytical mindset with experience using data to support product or strategic decisions
  • Proven ability to collaborate across Product, Engineering, Commercial, and Operations teams

Desirable experience

  • Exposure to market data, financial services, or infrastructure platforms
  • Experience supporting or contributing to platform or architecture strategy
  • Familiarity with cloud, containerisation, or hybrid deployment models
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders or executive‑level audiences
