Treasury at London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) aims to be a best-in-class function supporting the Group’s role as a leading global financial markets infrastructure and data provider. We are seeking a Senior Treasury Manager – Treasury Operations to join our team who will play a key role in delivering efficient, controlled and scalable Treasury operations while helping drive the evolution of Treasury processes, systems and technology.

In addition to leading the Treasury Back Office team, based in Bangalore, India, you will partner with Treasury, Finance and external stakeholders to improve Treasury processes and drive operational efficiency. You will have a keen interest in using Technology, including the use of Artificial Intelligence, to enhance Treasury systems, processes and controls. This is a hybrid role, reporting into the Director – Treasury Operations in London with an expectation of 3 days per week of office-based working. It is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Treasury professional with broad Treasury expertise and a strong interest in Treasury technology to influence the future direction of Treasury operations and transformation.

Key Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

  • Oversee the Treasury Back Office Team to ensure the timely and accurate processing of Treasury transactions (including foreign exchange and interest rate derivative transactions, cash investments, intercompany loans and dividends, CP, RCF and bond debt repayments) by settling payments via SWIFT or banking platforms when required.
  • Own and lead the Treasury technology strategy, ensuring alignment with Treasury, Finance and wider Group objectives. Manage system governance, configuration, enhancements and controls.
  • Drive operational excellence through the identification and implementation of improvements to execution, automation opportunities and controls enhancements.
  • Champion the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within Treasury. Monitor developments in Treasury technology, market best practices and industry trends to support continuous improvement.
  • Support internal and external audit activities and ensure appropriate documentation, controls and governance frameworks are maintained.
  • Mentor Treasury team members and contribute to building a high-performing, collaborative and innovative Treasury function.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent experience and relevant professional qualification (AMCT/FCT, CFA, ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Significant experience of Corporate Treasury, including understanding of cash management, liquidity management, Foreign exchange and interest rate management, Treasury Operations and Controls.
  • Strong knowledge of Treasury Technology including FIS Integrity, FXALL, Workspace, Datascope, banking platforms as well as SWIFT and payment processes. Experience working with ERP platforms such as SAP and Oracle and an understanding of Treasury data flows and systems integration.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and influence decision-making across business and technology functions.
  • Experience leading projects, process improvement initiatives or operational transformation programmes.
  • Experience managing, coaching or leading teams would be advantageous.
