Role description: This Senior Manager role reports to the LCH Business Controls Officer and provides first-line specialist leadership for Third Party Risk Management across the LCH entity. The role has end-to-end accountability for ensuring that third-party risk is identified, assessed and managed in accordance with internal standards, Group frameworks and applicable regulatory requirements. It works in close partnership with supplier managers and second-line risk functions to drive consistent, high-quality risk assessments and to ensure robust oversight and challenge throughout the third-party lifecycle.

In response to the evolving regulatory environment, the role is also accountable for assessing regulatory change and leading the implementation of TPRM enhancements required to maintain ongoing compliance. The role requires strong, senior-level stakeholder engagement across all three lines of defence within LCH Ltd, as well as effective coordination with colleagues across the wider LSEG organisation.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Provide independent review and effective challenge of third-party risk assessments, including detailed scrutiny of submissions and underlying assumptions.
  • Exercise independent oversight of submitted assessments and scorecards, with particular focus on exposures where service levels or control expectations have not been met.
  • In collaboration with LCH Ltd TPRM, produce a semi-annual report summarising key findings, themes and areas of concern arising from the assessment lifecycle for submission to the Operational Resilience Committee (ORC) and board.
  • Engage with Second Line Risk to assess alignment with Board-approved risk appetite, and coordinate with Third Line on audit observations, control deficiencies and remediation actions.
  • Attend service review forums as required, providing appropriate challenge and escalation where risk issues or control weaknesses are identified.
  • Maintain and oversee the Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) risk profile, ensuring it remains accurate, current and reflective of the entity's risk exposure.
  • Partner with Group stakeholders to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable internal policies, external standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Represent LCH Ltd in relevant external industry working groups and testing exercises, contributing to best practice development and enhancing the firm’s third-party risk and operational resilience capabilities.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Strong organisational capability, with the ability to handle multiple priorities concurrently, operate effectively under pressure, and deliver to demanding deadlines.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading and executing risk assessments within a structured risk management framework.
  • Ability to work autonomously, exercising sound judgement and accountability in decision-making.
  • Experience in producing clear, concise and high-quality reports for senior management and governance forums.
  • Ability to operate effectively within a small, specialist team, while building and maintaining strong working relationships across a broad and senior stakeholder group.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and confident using Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Knowledge of regulatory expectations is essential.
  • Questioning and continuous improvement mentality.

What you will get in return: Working in the LCH First Line BCO team offers exposure to a dynamic environment with strategic importance, there is the opportunity to influence business decisions, and is a hybrid work arrangement based in London.
