The role is part of a distributed team that supports a seamless network of systems and services to enable our People and line management colleagues to be as self-sufficient as possible by integrating human resources management systems, databases, automated workflow, intranets, third party providers and other technologies with key People processes. This role will provide support for specific functions/areas with close links to the role, and to special projects as advised. Includes working more independently, contributing to team design decisions, and taking ownership for the quality of delivered work. The impact is growing delivery speed, system reliability, and shared team knowledge.
Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:- Build various types of Workday reports like Advanced, Composite, Matrix, Search and Trending using the right data sources and fields and present the data in a clear and intelligent format.
- Lead the design and development of complex dashboards and visualizations that answer both strategic and tactical business questions.
- Build Discovery boards for various use cases and maintain calculations and data sources for the same. Narrate a theme with the metrics within a discovery board to help leaders derive actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain an extensive list of metrics in line with business definitions and ensure consistency across the analytical suite offerings.
- Work with collaborators in understanding the problem statement and enable them with detailed and actionable insights. Identify and unlock new opportunities for business value through analytics.
- Own and lead the BI work pipeline, ensuring timely delivery, prioritization, and alignment with business goals.
- Integrate Generative AI and Co-Pilot tools into BI/reporting workflows to reduce manual effort and enhance efficiency within the defined scope of AI usability.
- Optimally communicate/deliver the analytical dashboards/reports and related analysis using excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Proactively handle and report on own schedule of work and work with collaborators or domain guides, with little supervision.
- Achieve good relationship with business customers – acting as their advocate, plus other Engineering project team members.
- Being up-to-date with industry trends around appropriate reporting and analytics technologies and techniques.

- Hands on experience as a BI developer/lead.
- Expert in Visier or Power BI or Tableau, Power Automate, PowerApps.
- Strong SQL coding skills for data extraction and transformation.
- Understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data architecture.
- Applying structured thinking and data to solve problems, test assumptions, and learn from outcomes.
- Excellent storytelling, presentation and narration skills.
- Demonstrable experience working throughout a project lifecycle, engaging with various customers and handling and/or reviewing appropriate project documentation.
- Good customer management, with confidence to challenge preconceptions of outcomes and solutions.
- Some understanding of People industry trends for both business and technology.
- Good communication, presentation and customer engagement skills.
- A good understanding of software development lifecycles and methodologies.
- Experience in building go-to market strategies for BI tools and solutions.
- Focus on value creation, scalability and efficiency.
- Good familiarity with project management and architecture disciplines.
- Proficient with business analysis tools and Microsoft Office products.
- Experience and knowledge of People function, processes, lifecycles and ability to interpret Business processes.
- Experience with tools like Service Now, Asana, Jira Confluence.
- Workday certified in Reporting.
- BI suite of applications like Visier, PowerBI, Tableau.
- Data Warehouses like Snowflake and ETL tools like Alteryx.
- Degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience.
