The London Stock Exchange is seeking an organised and energetic Programme Manager to set-up and deliver a best-in-class programme that celebrates our clients, prospects, and iconic moments across the UK and globally. This role will harness one of our most iconic assets, the London Stock Exchange balcony and market ceremony, to elevate the profile of listed companies, thriving UK companies and spotlight significant moments across culture, art and sports. The Programme Manager will partner with Business Development, Marketing, Communications, Events and the CEO Office to deliver exceptional experiences that reinforce the London Stock Exchange's position as a leading global marketplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme Design & Event Strategy
- Develop and handle a year‐round programme of events celebrating:
- Clients and prospective clients
- Key business milestones
- Iconic London cultural, artistic, and sporting moments
- Leverage the London Stock Exchange balcony as a strategic platform for profile‐raising, content collection and message amplification.
- Ensure each event aligns to brand objectives, supports business development, and strengthens market visibility.
- Lead end‐to‐end project management for all events, coordinating timelines, logistics, and customer responsibilities.
- Act as the central interlock between Business Development, Marketing, Communications, Events, and the CEO Office.
- Engage with external partners, listed companies, prospects and media agencies to ensure seamless event execution.
- Build, handle, and continuously refine an annual calendar of celebrations and event themes.
- Implement processes from concept to delivery that are clear, efficient, and followed consistently across teams.
- Drive coordination across internal functions to ensure timely planning, resource alignment, and execution.
- Maintain and lead the master event planner to ensure:
- Complete visibility of all upcoming events
- Accurate tracking of activities
- Consistent updates for senior leadership
- Timely approvals from the Leadership Team
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in programme management, event management, or complex project coordination—ideally within corporate, financial, or high‐profile public environments.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple activities.
- Excellent partner management and communication abilities.
- Understanding of marketing channels and social media.
- Confidence working with senior leaders and external clients.
- Demonstrated ability to drive structured processes and maintain high‐quality documentation.
- Experience with planning tools, calendars, or workflow platforms (SharePoint, Salesforce, or similar).
- Creative attitude combined with disciplined operational execution.
