LCH Ltd is an international multi‑asset class central counterparty clearing house (CCP) providing critical risk management services to a global client base. This role offers the opportunity to lead the transformation of our Reporting & Data Analytics platform, ensuring resilience, performance and governance for one of the most critical finance technology functions in the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technology owner of the end‑to‑end data solutions for reporting and data analytics across SwapClear and Listed Rates.
  • Lead the safe migration from legacy Oracle/Informatica platform to the target cloud architecture and take accountability for successful legacy decommissioning.
  • Lead design, implementation and multi‑year phased delivery for the new data platform.
  • Define and drive evolution of the strategic cloud data platform, ensuring it is fit for purpose for SwapClear and Listed Rates use cases.
  • Ensure the end‑to‑end platform meets availability, performance, resilience and security expectations of a systemically important clearing house.
  • Assist Product Owners and Delivery Leads with delivery planning of business goals and outcomes.
  • Act as a senior technical partner to Group Architecture Authority, Group Data Governance, Product and business partners.
  • Partner with Quality engineering to deliver high quality software using modern testing standards, automation and cloud‑native practices.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners, using influence and trust to drive alignment, resolve challenges and promote shared quality goals.

Required Experience, Skills and Traits

  • 15+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience, including at least 5+ years as a technical lead.
  • Leadership of enterprise‑scale Snowflake (or similar) data platform implementations.
  • Experience with ELT data architectures using dbt or similar cloud data lake and data warehouse solutions.
  • Strong skills in SQL, PL/SQL and Python for data‑centric solutions.
  • Expertise in data‑warehouse modelling and immutable, incremental, versioned data architectures.
  • Experience with enterprise‑scale data modelling, governance, lineage and control frameworks.
  • Solid engineering background for deep design and implementation.
  • Prior experience with Informatica PowerCenter or similar.
  • Quality‑first mindset and strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Credibility to influence group‑level architecture and governance bodies.
  • Passionate about data‑driven metrics and practical AI experience in data engineering or migration use cases.

Desired Experience, Skills and Traits

  • Experience operating in regulated, high‑availability environments.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of on‑premise and cloud technology operation.
  • Experience with large‑scale real‑time and batch process orchestration, optionally with third‑party engines.
  • Understanding of cyber‑security standards, secure‑by‑design principles.
  • Agile framework experience (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Background in the financial industry.
  • Experience with modern observability platforms such as DataDog.
