As a Lead Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the ongoing support and reliability of all components within the LSEG ecosystem, encompassing platforms, networks, applications, and services. In this role, we will provide escalation support for critical network services, ensuring the operational stability and performance of the LSEG global network.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining systems, software, and applications across various domains, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Independently make technical design and amendment decisions, effectively handling the workload.
  • Analyse data and understand business requirements, translating them into technical specifications to align with infrastructure and network capacity needs.
  • Develop dashboards to provide near real-time network status.
  • Collaborate closely with network operations and service teams, providing in-depth technical support and guidance for multicast- and WAN-related issues and implementations.
  • Proactively solve problems with a deep understanding of multicast protocols, network infrastructure, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Lead upgrades when necessary, coordinating efforts with internal teams and third parties.
  • Build accurate documentation and monitor system performance to support business activities and continuous improvement.
  • Support the deployment of engineering patterns and contribute to creating solutions by coordinating design requirements to be automated, tested, and released.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Proven experience in network products and services, with a focus on low-latency technologies.
  • Expertise in LAN, WAN, HSRP, NAT, MPLS, VPN, GRE, BGP, and OSPF.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of multicast concepts, including PIM-SM, PIM-SSM, IGMP, MVPN, and MLDP.
  • Proficiency in product-aligned, service-focused work, with a solid grasp of network automation, SRE, and DevOps or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working on load balancing and firewalls.
  • Excellent skills in network packet analysis and packet capture tools for troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with load balancing technologies, TCP/IP, and multicast in internet environments.
  • Understanding of low-latency technologies commonly used in the financial sector.
  • Experience in Data Centre Networking, including Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Cisco ACI, VxLAN, and related technologies.
  • Proficiency in Service Management processes, preferably with ITIL knowledge.
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills, enabling important collaboration.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technology-related field is essential.
  • CCIE certification is highly desirable (including actively pursuing accreditations).
  • Significant experience in technology-focused positions is crucial.
  • Extensive knowledge of routing and switching protocols.
  • Experience (5+ Years) as a Senior Network Engineer.
  • Exposure to Network Service Providers or the Financial Services Sector.
