Our kitchen is built on quality, teamwork and consistency, and we are looking for an experienced Senior Sous Chef to support our Head Chef in leading a high-performing brigade.

As Senior Sous Chef, you will play a key leadership role in the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation and hygiene are maintained.

You will support the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen, lead by example during service and help develop the team to achieve operational excellence.

  • Support the Head Chef with the daily management of the kitchen.
  • Lead the brigade during service, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Prepare and deliver consistently high-quality dishes in line with company specifications.
  • Maintain exceptional food hygiene and health & safety standards.
  • Train, coach and develop junior chefs to improve performance and skills.
  • Monitor stock levels, ordering and stock rotation to minimise waste.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with allergen and food safety procedures.
  • Assist with menu development, seasonal specials and recipe consistency.
  • Manage labour costs and productivity in line with business requirements.
  • Promote a positive, professional and collaborative working environment.

The successful candidate will have

  • Previous experience as a Senior Sous Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume, premium restaurant.
  • Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of fresh food preparation and steak cookery.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional food and guest experiences.
  • The ability to remain calm and lead effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and team management skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.
  • A positive attitude and commitment to developing others.
  • Up to £18.71 per hour including service charge.
