You’ll shape and deliver insurance strategies, manage complex renewals, oversee claims, advise on major projects and contracts, and build strong relationships with brokers, insurers, and senior stakeholders. With an annual premium spend of around £4m, this is a role with real scope, influence, and visibility.
We’re seeking someone who brings deep commercial insurance expertise, confidence working independently, and the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. If you’re proactive, analytical, and ready to lead a high‑value, high‑trust service, we’d love to hear from you.
Is it for you? You’ll thrive in this role if you’re an experienced insurance professional who enjoys taking ownership of complex portfolios and shaping strategy across diverse organisations. It’s a great fit if you’re confident working independently, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, and skilled at navigating detailed insurance, claims, and contractual issues without losing sight of the bigger picture. The business context is interesting and exciting, as it includes procuring insurance for some of LLDC and the GLA Group’s most significant and high‑profile activities.
If you bring strong analytical judgement, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to build trusted relationships with brokers, insurers, and internal teams, this could be the next step you’ve been looking for. It’s especially suited to someone who is proactive, organised, and motivated by delivering a high‑quality shared service that genuinely adds value.
Why join us? At Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, we’re proud to be a values‑led, inclusive employer with a mission to create opportunity and transformation in East London. We offer flexible working, excellent benefits, and the chance to make a tangible impact on one of the UK’s most high‑profile regeneration programmes.
