About The Role & Team

The MEP Manager will be responsible for overseeing all MEP systems across our construction projects from acquisition through to handover, ensuring design compliance, quality execution, and timely delivery. The role requires strong technical expertise, coordination skills, and the ability to manage subcontractors and consultants effectively. The role will involve travel across our sites and to our head office in Uxbridge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Coordination
  • Review and validate MEP designs for compliance with relevant regulations, codes, standards and project specifications, including warranty provider requirements.
  • Ensure that designs are not over engineered.
  • Coordinate with architects, structural engineers and other stakeholders to integrate MEP systems.
  • Develop Testing and Commissioning programmes a minimum of 6 months prior to PC.
  • Manage and monitor the Testing and Commissioning process with the London Square site teams, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure that any design allows for any planned phased testing and commissioning to allow phased occupation.
  • Assist the London Square Commercial Team during the tendering process, recommending contractors and procurement strategies.
  • Execution & Quality Control
    • Supervise installation of all MEP systems.
    • Undertake factory visits as required and produce reports.
    • Conduct regular site inspections for progress and quality.
    • Resolve technical issues and provide solutions to maintain project progress.
    • Chair regular progress and coordination meetings.
    • Manage and review MEP ITP’s.
    • Develop Field View (or similar) benchmark forms to ensure LSQ QA processes are followed ensuring that Golden Thread requirements are met.
  • Subcontractor Management
    • Evaluate and select MEP subcontractors and suppliers.
    • Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure contractual obligations are met.
    • Assist in the development and review of MEP RAMS as required.
    • Ensure all LSQ H&S, quality and site requirements are met and followed at all times.
  • Budget & Cost Control
    • Investigate and recommend heating and cooling strategies.
    • Investigate and recommend value engineering options.
  • Compliance & Documentation
    • Ensure compliance with local building codes, environmental regulations and safety standards.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of MEP drawings, change orders and inspection reports.
    • Assist with Gateway 2 and Gateway 3 applications.

    Key Skills & Experience

    • The ability to multi‑task effectively, as you will be across multiple projects from acquisition to handover.
    • Experience in MEP management within residential construction.
    • Strong knowledge of MEP systems and current and emerging regulations.
    • Excellent leadership, communication and problem‑solving skills.
    • The ability to self‑motivate and to work as part of a team.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
    • PMP or equivalent project management certification.
