About The Role & Team
Supporting the Social Value & Community Manager, the Social Value & Community Coordinator will help coordinate the delivery of London Square's social value and community strategy across all our projects in order to create meaningful outcomes for individuals and community groups in London.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with key community, local authority, housing associations and regeneration delivery stakeholders to deliver social value plans that align with community aspirations.
- Coordinate training, work experience and employment opportunities across all developments.
- Liaise with stakeholders regarding any proposed community engagement activity.
- Engage with local colleges to maximise opportunities for local borough residents, the unemployed and under-represented groups.
- Attend careers fairs, employment support workshops, meet the buyer and other community engagement forums to promote London Square, develop skills and promote opportunities.
- Facilitate introductions and encourage our supply chain to meet our skills, employment and community obligations for the duration of the works & beyond.
- Partner with the supply chain to support the achievement of targets through our subcontractors.
- Support and facilitate training for local residents as a route to work and fulfilment.
- Attend local community meetings to promote the work of London Square.
- Help deliver the agreed strategy on a development by development basis, for the achievement of skills, employment and community targets.
- Track all community, skills, employment, volunteering and social activity in the social value calculator to generate an annual social value sum.
- Support in the delivery of the Social Impact Strategy for London Square.
Key Skills & Experience
- Experience coordinating and delivering community or regeneration projects with a training, skills and employability bias.
- Experienced in producing reports, collecting and analysing data and developing clear, evidence-based case studies.
- Strong operational coordination skills, including planning and delivering training schemes, workshops, and events tailored to local communities.
- Excellent communication skills across all forums.
- Able to build relationships and quickly establish rapport.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Able to manage workload and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and monitoring/reporting systems.
