About The Role
Our Ramp Operations Team play a crucial part in supporting the airport to thrive and operate seamlessly. They are responsible for the processing of passenger baggage and aircraft turnaround. I will be responsible for all aircraft turnaround processes, including aircraft arrival, onloading and offloading baggage, and aircraft departure. I will be responsible for accurately and efficiently sorting outbound passenger baggage. I will be responsible for operating ground service equipment. I will be responsible for performing regular preventative maintenance and cleaning works to the equipment and operational area. I will work with my team and my colleagues from other departments to meet our goal of providing our passengers with a positive journey through our airport. I will be working outside in all weather conditions. I will fully embody the Airports ‘One Team’ culture and understand that there may be times when I am required to undertake other activities to support the needs of the business. I understand that the Airport is in operation 24/7 so I may be scheduled and expected to work any shift during operating hours, this will include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
There are just a handful of skills you need to undertake this role, everything else we can teach you. If you can answer yes to all of the below requirements you have the required skills:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- A strong written and verbal communicator.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience operating a GSE is not essential but would be advantageous.
