About The Role
As Kitchen Manager at London Southend Airport, you will be the go-to person for all back-of-house operations. You will work closely with the Head of Food & Beverage to shape the kitchen operations, food quality, and team culture to meet our goal of delivering exceptional service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure high standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness
- Lead, train and inspire the kitchen team
- Manage inventory and kitchen budgets
- Collaborate with the Head of Food & Beverage to develop and refine menu items
- Identify and implement improvements within the kitchen team
- Embody the Airports ‘One Team’ culture and undertake other activities to support the business as required
- Understand the Airport operates 24/7; shifts may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and bank holidays
Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
We are looking for the following skills and experience to support the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen:
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar leadership role in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and inventory management
- Inspiring, approachable leadership and the ability to support and guide direct reports
