About the role
Our Ramp Operations Team play a crucial part in supporting the airport to thrive and operate seamlessly. They are responsible for the processing of passenger baggage and aircraft turnaround. I will be responsible for all aircraft turnaround processes, including aircraft arrival, onloading and offloading baggage, and aircraft departure. I will be responsible for accurately and efficiently sorting outbound passenger baggage, operating ground service equipment, and performing regular preventative maintenance and cleaning works to the equipment and operational area. I will work with my team and my colleagues from other departments to meet our goal of providing our passengers with a positive journey through our airport. I will be working outside in all weather conditions and fully embody the Airports ‘One Team’ culture. I understand that there may be times when I am required to undertake other activities to support the needs of the business. The Airport is in operation 24/7, so I may be scheduled and expected to work any shift during operating hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
There are just a handful of skills you need in order to undertake this role:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- A strong written and verbal communicator
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience operating a GSE is not essential but would be advantageous
