About The Role
Our Security Team play a crucial part in supporting the airport to thrive and operate seamlessly, they provide the smooth and timely processing of passengers, and carry out aviation security duties across the airport. We bet youâre thinking âso what is it I will actually be doing day to day?â wellâŚ
- I will undergo all required Security training to ensure that I am fully compliant with CAA (Civil Aviation Authority), company, and aviation legislation and safety procedures.
- I will be responsible for the screening of passengers and baggage in line with the regulations set by CAA.
- I will monitor the building and grounds through CCTV monitoring and physical patrols.
- I will perform various paperwork and administrative duties.
- I will work with my team and my colleagues from other departments to meet our goal of providing our passengers with a positive journey through our airport.
- I will fully embody the Airports âOne Teamâ culture and understand that there may be times when I am required to undertake other activities to support the needs of the business.
- I understand that the Airport is in operation 24/7 so I may be scheduled and expected to work any shift during operating hours, this will include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and bank holidays
Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

- I can pass a colour-blind test to enable me to use the X-Ray Machines.
- I have strong communication skills and will be able to confidently communicate with colleagues and customers of all levels.
- I pride myself on delivering excellent standards of customer service, quality and attention to detail.
- I have resided in the UK for the last 3 years. (This is part of our vetting requirements in relation to the CTC background checks. If you have not resided in the UK for the past 3 years or have spent significant time outside the UK during this time, we will need our People Team to get in touch to discuss options with you.)
- Experience in both security and aviation is not essential but would be advantageous.
