About The Role
As Breakfast Chef at London Southend Airport I contribute to the smooth operation of the kitchen by taking responsibility for my own section. I excel in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and take pride in delivering exceptional meals to our guests. You will work early mornings in a 24/7 operation, including 3am starts.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently run a dedicated section of the kitchen
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a high standard
- Be responsible for portion and waste control
- Be responsible for the cleanliness, organisation, and stock levels of my section
- Maintain food hygiene and safety standards
- Support in training and mentoring the junior kitchen team
- Effectively communicate with fellow chefs and front-of-house for a smooth service
- Embody the Airports “One Team” culture and undertake other activities to support the business as needed
- Understand the airport operates 24/7 and be prepared for early shifts
Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
- Proven experience working in a busy kitchen as a Breakfast Chef, or similar
- Passion for food preparation and delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- Strong, confident communicator who can liaise with team members
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment
