About the role
Our Ramp Operations Team play a crucial part in supporting the airport to thrive and operate seamlessly; they are responsible for the processing of passenger baggage and aircraft turnaround. Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for all aircraft turnaround processes, including aircraft arrival, onloading and offloading baggage, and aircraft departure.
- Accurately and efficiently sorting outbound passenger baggage.
- Operating ground service equipment.
- Performing regular preventative maintenance and cleaning works on the equipment and operational area.
- Working with team and colleagues from other departments to meet the goal of providing passengers with a positive journey through the airport.
- Working outside in all weather conditions.
- Fully embodying the Airports ‘One Team’ culture and understanding that there may be times when required to undertake other activities to support the needs of the business.
- Accepting that the airport operates 24/7 so may be scheduled and expected to work any shift during operating hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Full UK Driving Licence
- A strong written and verbal communicator.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience operating a GSE is not essential but would be advantageous.
