We are looking for a Distance Learning Tutor to support adult learners studying the Level 2 Certificate in Counselling. This role focuses on delivering high‑quality online support, helping learners stay engaged, make progress and successfully achieve their qualification. You will work with a diverse cohort of adult learners, providing guidance, feedback and structured support throughout their programme.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide structured online support to learners, guiding them through course content and assessments
- Monitor learner progress and engagement, intervening where required
- Mark and assess work in line with college standards and timescales
- Deliver online tutorials, group sessions and one‑to‑one support
- Develop and maintain learning resources and course materials
- Maintain accurate records of learner progress and outcomes
- Support learner progression into further study or employment
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, equality and online learning policies
- Contribute to CPD and team meetings, and support programme promotion where required
What we are looking for:
- A relevant qualification in Counselling or a related subject
- A teaching qualification (Level 5 or equivalent)
- Assessor and verifier qualifications (A1/V1 or equivalent)
- Experience of delivering distance or online learning to adult learners
- Strong digital skills and confidence using online learning platforms
- The ability to provide clear, constructive written feedback
- Good organisation and communication skills
