About the role
As a Creative Media lecturer you will teach students of varying abilities from Level 1 to Level 3. You will work closely with the Curriculum Manager on the expansion and development of the department, helping the college deliver high-quality education for every student. Your industry experience will inspire the next generation of skilled experts, supporting people from all backgrounds. You will also promote the courses across the Creative Media curriculum area, participate in marketing events, and share your experience as a Media Specialist.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons and assessment for Creative Media courses at Levels 1–3.
- Collaborate with the Curriculum Manager to develop and expand the department.
- Support student learning and progression across diverse backgrounds.
- Promote Creative Media courses within the college and to external stakeholders.
- Represent the college at marketing and outreach events.
- Maintain accurate student records and support administrative processes.
Skills and experience
- Proven experience in teaching and/or a relevant industry background.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate concepts clearly and confidently.
- Efficient administrative skills to support student record-keeping.
Qualifications
- Minimum Level 2 literacy and numeracy (GCSE or equivalent).
- Qualified FE teacher or willing to undertake qualification.
