The Role: Nido Volans, part of London South East Colleges' specialist SEND provision, is seeking a passionate and committed individual to join our team. If you are dedicated to supporting SEND learners and are eager to contribute to a forward-thinking and successful college, we want to hear from you! As a Lecturer in SEND, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional educational experience for our learners. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the planning and organisation of courses for our Personal Progression and Employment Pathways. You will also teach across various levels, delivering both accredited and unaccredited programmes tailored to learners with diverse abilities and needs. You will also support our Curriculum Manager with curriculum development, as well as driving the growth of the department. You may also be asked to promote SEND programmes and participate in marketing events to showcase our provision.
Skills and Experience / Qualifications: Our ideal candidate will bring proven teaching experience or relevant industry expertise with a minimum of Level 2 literacy and numeracy qualifications. You will have a teaching qualification (or a commitment to achieving one). You will have strong communication skills, with the ability to engage learners effectively and deliver impactful presentations. Experience working with learners with medical and health needs is desirable. Great organisational skills to maintain accurate learner records and ensure efficient administration.
