Under new leadership and part of the hugely successful London South East Academies Trust, Acre Wood Academy is recruiting for a committed, empathetic and collaborative teacher to join our team within the Primary phase. We are looking for a teacher who will support us in taking the school forward on an exciting and transformational development journey. Acre Wood Academy is a specialist school for pupils aged 4-19 with a wide range of special education needs, including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The school is set across three sites (primary, secondary and sixth form) located closely together in Crowborough, East Sussex.

At primary, we believe that learning should be exciting, inspiring, and fun. Our dedicated staff work together to create a safe and supportive environment where children feel confident to explore, discover, and grow. We provide a broad and balanced curriculum designed to develop lifelong skills and a love of learning in every child.
The role is to commence as soon as possible. The successful candidates will be passionate about special education and committed to creating a positive and engaging learning environment where all pupils can achieve and fulfil their potential.
Interest is welcomed from candidates with either a background in SEND or those from a mainstream primary background passionate about working with pupils with special educational needs.
Qualifications & Desired ExperienceA full induction training programme will be provided along with continued CPD and career progression opportunities for those wishing to develop a SEND career both within the school and within London South East Academies Trust. Staff wellbeing is a priority within both the school and Trust ensuring everyone is well supported.
