Assistant SENCo required for September 2026. We are looking for an Assistant SENCo to join our new school. You should have a passion for learning, be highly motivated, work well as part of a team and be committed to engaging with pupils in a positive, calm and caring way. This post is for 21 hours / 3 days a week (Term Time Only).

Responsibilities

Based at our Bexhill site and support the work of the SENCo across the school. The role is within an Alternative Provision and involves contributing to the ongoing development of the school in partnership with the Trust and staff.

About Us

We are the commissioned Alternative Provision in East Sussex for pupils who have been permanently excluded from school. East Sussex Skills Academy (ESSA), located in Bexhill, recently joined London South East Academies Trust. ESSA supports up to 94 pupils in Years 9-11 who are unable to access mainstream education and offers a broad range of vocational pathways. Pupils receive high quality teaching in maths, English and science alongside specialist provision in Construction multi-trades, Hairdressing, Barbering & Beauty, Automotive, Hospitality & Catering, Sports & Fitness and Arts & Creativity.
