The role involves supporting the international PROSPER study, which is investigating post-operative recurrence in Crohn's Disease. Reporting to Professor Enrico Grisan, you will work on the bioinformatic and clinical data strands of the study - exploring disease trajectories and developing network and multi-layer network approaches to characterise patient outcomes.

This part-time, one-year post offers the successful candidate the opportunity to integrate network and bioinformatic analyses with the imaging biomarkers generated elsewhere in the consortium, applying computational methods to a real-world, multicentre clinical dataset. The role is based in London (hybrid working), with the possibility of periods of working overseas alongside consortium partners.

What you will bring:

  • A PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • Practical experience analysing clinical and/or omics data, including handling of longitudinal or disease-trajectory data.
  • Practical experience building and deploying ML/DL pipeline and their application to biomedical or clinical questions.
  • Familiarity with network science / multi-layer network methods and their application to biomedical or clinical questions.
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to work with international clinical and imaging teams.
