London South Bank University is recruiting a Lecturer in Medicinal Chemistry for the BSc Pharmaceutical Science programme within the Biomedical Science Research Group. The role includes teaching, assessment, curriculum development, student support and scholarly activity with opportunities for outreach and industry engagement.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality undergraduate teaching across modules and develop the curriculum.
- Support student research projects and supervise undergraduate research.
- Contribute to assessment, curriculum development and student support initiatives.
- Engage in scholarly activities, research development and outreach to external partners.
- Promote an inclusive and engaging learning environment and contribute to the academic community.
Qualifications
- PhD in Medicinal Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry or a closely related discipline.
- Strong theoretical and practical expertise in medicinal and organic chemistry, including laboratory and analytical techniques.
- Experience teaching and supporting students in higher education, or clear potential to contribute to high‑quality undergraduate teaching.
- Enthusiastic about delivering an inclusive and engaging student experience and committed to continuing professional and scholarly development.
- Research interests in Pharmaceutical Science or Biomedical Science and experience engaging with the pharmaceutical industry or external partners is highly encouraged.
