Lecturer in Games Art
London South Bank University is recruiting a Lecturer in Games Art in the School of Computer Science and Digital Technologies. The role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students to explore every aspect of game creation, from art and storytelling to programming, accessibility, and playtesting. You will guide students in building strong portfolios and transferable digital skills for a fast‑moving industry and help shape LSBU’s new BA (Hons) Game Design and Development course, uniting creativity, technology, and critical thinking. The course primarily teaches Maya and the ideal applicant would have good working knowledge of this, as well as Adobe Suite, Mixamo, Blender and other 3D modelling software.
About You
- A good honours degree in a relevant discipline (and ideally a postgraduate qualification or equivalent professional experience).
- Passionate and versatile educator with expertise in game and 3D modelling.
- Strong understanding of the creative and technical aspects of contemporary game development practice.
- Experience teaching or mentoring students, ideally in higher education.
- Commitment to inclusive, accessible, and industry‑relevant learning.
- Experience in the games industry is desirable.
