The role

As a proactive and confident Facility Manager, you will support the day‑to‑day operation of our sport and fitness facilities, ensuring a high‑quality customer experience for students, staff and the local community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as Manager on Duty to ensure facilities operate safely and efficiently.
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures.
  • Support continuous service improvement through internal and external audits.
  • Ensure consistent health and safety compliance across all activities.
  • Contribute to income generation and occupancy targets.
  • Monitor, track and report on key performance indicators.
  • Work closely with senior managers to maintain and improve service quality.

Operating Hours

Mon – Fri: 7am – 10pm
Sat – Sun: 10am – 6pm
Bank Holidays & University Closure Days: 10am – 4pm

What You Will Bring

  • Experience working in a leisure or sports environment.
  • Strong commitment to delivering first‑class customer service.
  • Proven experience acting as Manager on Duty.
  • Practical knowledge of health and safety legislation in a sport setting.
  • First aid qualification or willingness to obtain.
