The role
LSBU Group has recently launched our new Strategy, Connecting, with six strategic themes that will direct and shape the Group’s future direction. The Strategy will evolve into clear objectives, KPIs, and delivery roadmaps for priority initiatives in the coming months. These initiatives by their nature will be large and complex, involving significant people, process and technology changes, as well as collaboration with other partners. Working closely with the Group CEO and Vice‑Chancellor, and the Group Executive, the holder of this senior role will lead the coordination and successful, integrated, implementation of all strategic initiatives in support of the LSBU Group Strategy. As part of this, they will play a leadership role in shaping, driving and coordinating the effective delivery of the portfolio of initiatives that will deliver the Strategy, and by establishing the capabilities, systems and processes, to secure successful delivery.
What You Will Bring
- Experience and expertise in project management, change management, planning and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Adept at working at multiple levels of an organisation and beyond with senior stakeholders to help shape our direction, creating the conditions for and successfully delivering impactful change.
- Willingness to challenge the status quo and engage in constructive dialogue in a contested space.
- Able to reconcile the need for change with the requirement to keep the organisation functioning, helping organisations to plan and manage transitions.
- Excellent understanding of the post‑16 education ecosystem.
- Strong commitment to supporting the mission of LSBU Group to challenge social and economic inequalities through applied education, insight and partnership.
