London South Bank University is excited to be recruiting for the post of Operational Lead for Practice, to support and lead college-wide development of practice placement activity, placement systems and processes associated with practice placement. The College of Health and Life Sciences delivers multiple NMC, HCPC and SWE programmes reliant on safe and effective practice placement. Through these programmes and our partnerships with local and national placement providers, LSBU is creating a Health and Life Sciences workforce fit for the future.

This position offers the successful candidate the chance to work with an experienced and dedicated placement team within the College of Health and Life Sciences. The successful candidate will have the chance to develop existing placement management systems, consider alternative ways of working, and will be working with multiple partners from across the Health and Social Care system.

Working alongside the College Executive lead for Practice Placement, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to support the growth of placement activity, as well as working with the allocations team to ensure we have accurate data and reporting mechanisms to support our placement partners. This role will be key to the student experience within the College of Health and Life Sciences, by supporting the development of new and innovative placement opportunities alongside academic course teams, placement partners and colleagues across LSBU.

What you will bring:

  • Active registration with the NMC/HCPC/SWE or equivalent relevant professional registration.
  • Experience of utilisation of placement management and allocation systems.
  • Experience of leading or supporting the expansion of Health and Life Sciences Placements.
  • Experience of quality assurance processes across the range of Health and Life Sciences programmes.
  • A strong Higher Education background and understanding of the broad range of Health and Life Sciences programme requirements.
