London South Bank University is recruiting for the Associate Dean Students position for the newly formed College of Health and Life Sciences, which brings together the schools of Allied Health, Life Sciences, Nursing and Midwifery. The new Associate Dean Students will have a cross-college focus and will play a key role in strengthening the College’s teaching, learning and community engagement.
About You
Our ideal candidate will have a well-established national profile in one of our disciplines, a proven commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, and a sustained track record in both scholarship and leadership of teaching and learning that puts the student at the heart of the experience. They will understand the policy and regulatory environment, and have first-hand experience building effective communities of practice that support high-quality learning. We especially welcome applicants who demonstrate creative and innovative teaching approaches that have improved outcomes for a diverse student body and who are eager to challenge and develop our pedagogical thinking. The ideal candidate will hold a doctoral level (PhD/Professional Doctorate) or equivalent qualification.
This post is open on a full-time/part-time, fixed-term basis. Applications are encouraged from candidates with a record of high-quality interdisciplinary research that meets REF standards or who are keen to contribute to the REF.
