London South Bank Technical College (LSBTC) is recruiting a Building Services Assessor to join the Apprenticeship Team based at our Nine Elms campus. We know how important it is to have industry experts in the team, and we welcome applications from both experienced Trainers/Assessors or applicants currently working in industry looking for a move into education. We will fully support you to complete your assessing qualification and by joining an experienced team, your colleagues will guide and coach you to develop into an experienced and successful assessor.

This is an exciting time to join the College with sustained growth and expansion of our construction provision, enabling us to recruit, develop and invest in new team members. We are proud of our state-of-the-art facilities to provide apprentice training across a wide range of specialisms. This is a brilliant opportunity to pass your knowledge and expertise on to the next generation of budding Electricians, if you have a real passion for your trade and teaching.

The role would include carrying out on-site assessments, meeting employers, monitoring and tracking of portfolios/reports/OTJs and progress reviews. You would also help the students prepare for their EPAs.

Skills & Experience
  • The ideal candidate must have the following:
  • Level 3 Building Services qualification
  • Vocational experience in the Building Services field
  • Holds or willing to work towards an assessors qualification
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel
  • Passion for mentoring and supporting learners
