Safer Spaces Practitioner - Family Help and MASH
Enfield are looking to recruit a Safer Spaces Practitioner to join their newly established integrated multi-agency wrap-around Family Help Partnership Hub. This is a specialist role developed to ensure Enfield's family help response is child centred, trauma informed and aligned with national best practice, strengthening the visibility of children affected by domestic abuse within assessment, planning and intervention.

Enfield's leadership culture is grounded in openness, learning and shared responsibility, with a commitment to supporting staff with their wellbeing, alongside professional development and achieving best practice. You will be joining a service that has high standards, values professional curiosity, collective accountability and innovation, creating the conditions for everyone to do their best work to achieve positive outcomes for children and families. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing trauma-informed consultation and time-limited direct work to strengthen family help responses for children affected by domestic abuse
- Contributing to single, whole-family plans with the voice, experience and needs of children and young people at the centre
- Providing specialist consultation to family help case-holding practitioners on the impact of domestic abuse on children's emotional wellbeing, behaviour and development
- Sharing guidance around trauma-informed, age-appropriate approaches to engagement
- Applying a strengths-based approach to supporting children and families affected by domestic abuse
Enfield is committed to supporting staff to develop their skills and offers a comprehensive induction and a bespoke training programme available to everyone.
