Outstanding Teaching and Learning is the most important principle we have at LSA and drives everything we aim to achieve. A focus on staff development and high levels of individual accountability for the quality of teaching, feedback and assessment is central to our success.

The Assistant Principal for Teaching and Learning will lead this agenda across the whole school, setting the vision, developing staff, monitoring quality, and building the systems and culture that enable every teacher to do their best work. This role drives teaching and learning across LSA ensuring planning, delivery and assessment meets the ambition of the institution.

You will manage the development of teaching practice for all of our teachers here at LSA, monitor the quality of classroom delivery and planning, and oversee the programme of support for Early Career Teachers. This is an exciting role which is at the heart of what we do at LSA.

The Assistant Principal will be expected to oversee the whole school CPD process for all staff, work with the Senior Leadership Team and department heads to quality assure classroom practice and planning documents. The post would suit someone with senior leadership experience, or a strong middle leader ready to take the next step into whole-school leadership.
