We are recruiting a Finance Systems Support Officer to join our Enterprise Systems team, supporting core platforms across Finance, HR and Payroll, and Student Records. This is a great opportunity to be at the centre of system improvement, helping to shape and enhance the systems that underpin the organisation’s operations.
ResponsibilitiesYou will take ownership of finance system support, acting as a key point of contact for users across LSHTM. From triaging issues to leading resolutions, you will deliver a responsive, high-quality support service while driving continuous improvement. As the primary system administrator, you will manage user access, maintain system configurations and master data, and ensure workflows run smoothly and efficiently through approval processes. Your work will directly support strong data governance, streamlined processes, and the effective day-to-day running of critical finance systems. You will be proactive and well organised, able to manage your own workload and meet deadlines aligned to system and user needs.
QualificationsWe are looking for a candidate with strong experience in first-line IT service delivery, ideally within a higher education environment. You should hold relevant professional qualifications or equivalent experience. You will be comfortable working in a structured setting and able to follow and apply technical documentation with accuracy and confidence.
Hiring DetailsThe post is full-time, 35 hours per week, 1 FTE, and permanent. The salary will be on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 5 in the range £39,984 - £45,728 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary 'Wellbeing Days'. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London.
