We are looking to hire a Research Finance Administrator to join our Finance team.

The Research Finance Administrator is responsible for the financial management of a small portfolio of research and consultancy projects working closely with academics and project administrators in the faculties. This is a varied role that requires the post holder to:

  1. Prepare financial reports for funders,
  2. Monitor income from funders,
  3. Raise supplier invoices,
  4. Set-up and activate awarded projects,
  5. Approve high-value financial transactions,
  6. Provide guidance on funder terms and conditions,
  7. Provide an efficient service to academic and professional services staff in the faculties.

This role provides the opportunity to develop skills and expertise in funder terms and conditions, research administration, financial reporting and research management systems and processes.

You should hold a minimum of 3 A-levels and have experience of working in a customer-focused environment and meeting customer needs. You should be exceptionally organized and able to prioritize your workload effectively to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy. Strong numeracy skills and the ability to understand financial information are a must. Further particulars are included in the job description.

The post is full-time, 35 hours per week (1 FTE) and permanent.

The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale Grade 4 in the range ÂŁ34,011 – ÂŁ38,198 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part-time staff. In addition to this, there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at LSHTM.
