The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is one of the world’s leading public health universities.

The post-holder will have overall administrative management and financial responsibility for the projects at LSHTM: Building resilience to floods and heat in the maternal and child health system in Brazil and Zambia (REACH) project and Shaping health packages and researching priorities ( SHARP).
We are seeking a highly skilled project coordinator, to support the Principal Investigator (PI) and project co-leads, together with partner organisations across seven countries, with high-level project coordination and financial issues.
Applicants must possess substantial experience of providing proactive administrative support of academic / global health research and of managing large complex grants with multiple partners across multiple countries.
Applicants must have higher education to degree level or equivalent or substantial relevant experience, and ideally have certified training in high-level project coordination/management.
The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE and fixed term until 31 August 2027.
The post is funded by the NIHR and is available from 21 September 2026.
The position may be offered as a secondment for existing LSHTM staff.
In this case, line manager approval confirming that you can be released from your current duties will be required before the appointment can be confirmed.
The salary will be on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 5 in the range £39,984 - £45,728 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting).
The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.
- Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff.
- In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”.
- Membership of the Pension Scheme is available.
