LSHTM is recruiting an experienced Information Security Manager to work in the IT Services Division. The role drives the security strategy to implement, deliver, track and manage performance metrics and methods to improve effectiveness to strengthen information security. It reports directly to the CIO and is a member of the ITS Senior Management Team.
Responsibilities
- You will build effective relationships and achieve co-operation from academic and professional services staff external to IT Services, while working independently and thriving under pressure to achieve LSHTM objectives.
- You will develop, update and implement Information Security policies for the institution, and work alongside senior colleagues in IT Services and other staff such as the Data Protection Officer.
- The role is very hands-on, requiring you to manage the SOC/MDR service, manage security incidents and their remediation, lead external and internal audits, and achieve compliance with external frameworks and partner organisations’ requirements.
Qualifications
- You hold relevant professional qualifications or equivalent experience, and possess excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills to develop strong working relationships and positively influence technical staff, academic staff and senior stakeholders in securing information.
Employment Details
- The post is full time, 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE, permanent.
- The salary is on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 7, £53,317 – £61,034 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting).
- The post is subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.
- Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part-time staff.
- There are discretionary Wellbeing Days.
- Membership of the Pension Scheme is available.
- The post is based in London with an expectation of two days per week in the office.
