Responsibilities: The role is to provide day‑to‑day leadership to a team of Research Finance Officers, delivering an efficient, customer‑focused service covering all aspects of post‑award financial management across a complex portfolio of projects. This includes preparation of funder financial reports, monitoring income from funders, raising supplier invoices, approving high‑value transactions, and providing guidance on funder terms and conditions.
Qualifications: The post-holder must have higher education to degree level or equivalent, or equivalent relevant experience. The post-holder must be confident with prioritisation and independent working but also able to work flexibly as a team member when required.
Compensation & Benefits: The salary will be on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 6, £45,728 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part‑time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available.
Employment Details: The post is full‑time, 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE and permanent. The post is available from 01 July 2026.
Location: The post is based in London at LSHTM with an expectation of two days per week in the Office.
