LSE Fellow in Political Behaviour
Salary from £42,429 to £50,656 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £54,295 pa inclusive of London allowance
This is a fixed term appointment for 2 years with possible extension for a further year, subject to funding.
The Department of Government seeks to make a fixed-term fellowship appointment in the field of political behaviour, The successful candidate will contribute teaching on the MSc Political Science (Political Behaviour) as well as undergraduate teaching in European politics.
An LSE Fellow is a career development post which allows aspiring academics who are post-PhD, or close to PhD completion, the opportunity to gain experience in teaching and research. The post-holder will join LSE’s world-leading and vibrant research community in the social sciences.
Applicants should have or be close to obtaining a PhD in political science or a closely related discipline by the start date, September 2025. They will also have a developing research record in political behaviour with clear potential to publish in highly regarded journals and a very good knowledge of current research on European politics. Teaching experience in political behaviour, comparative European politics and/or European Union politics is also essential. Candidates should possess excellent oral communication and presentation skills; ability to work in close partnership with fellow teachers and to foster an engaging and supportive learning environment; and a commitment to equality and diversity. Relevant experience in teaching and mentoring students is desirable.
