The Fees, Income and Credit Control Office is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and well-organised Credit Controller to support all internal and external stakeholder requests across its service portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the DHFICC, ensuring the implementation of, and adherence to, the schools income and debt collection policies and procedures.
  • Ability to negotiate and reach acceptable settlements in line with guidance without compromising the Schools position.
  • Maximise collection and mitigate the risk of non-payments.
  • Meet objectives, strategic targets, collection targets and KPI's as required.
  • Coordinate bad debt proposals and write offs.
  • Resolve queries efficiently and effectively for all students, customers and stakeholders.
  • Advising on related legal, compliance and procedural issues.
  • Point of contact for external collection agent referrals.
  • Candidates should have
  • Knowledge of Income / debt collection cycles and procedures, including relevant legislation and required to be CICM qualified or working towards qualification.
  • Post holder should be undertaking a form of study or attending online training in Credit Control or working towards at least CICM Level 2 Qualification.
  • A track record of successful, relevant income/credit control experience at an appropriate level of seniority over a minimum of 3 years.
  • Excellent IT skills including in using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office and an Accounting or Credit Control system.
  • Experience of analysing and interpreting data, producing complex reports and delivering briefings to others and good planning and time management, project management and organisational skills.
