LSE Health and Safety Team has a varied and interesting remit that includes managing travel risk and coordinating Business Continuity as well as providing health and safety advice to the School community. We are looking for a motivated and highly pragmatic Health and Safety Adviser to join our team.

Your responsibilities will include working with key stakeholders across the School to improve and establish local health and safety management systems as well as managing the School’s workstation assessment process. You will be required to provide advice, develop procedures, practical processes and promote a positive health and safety culture.

You should have experience of introducing H&S management systems in complex (non-corporate) organisations, demonstrable experience of interpreting H&S requirements pragmatically to a lay audience, ability to offer a range of options to manage risk within the organisation's risk appetite and culture and commitment to enabling business functions to proceed safely by exploring creative solutions and negotiating realistic compromises with stakeholders.

This role will ideally suit a health and safety professional who is interested in working in a diverse environment and is a great opportunity to join a small, busy and friendly team.
