The Development Manager plays a central role in generating new business and contracts for LSE Consulting. The role combines proactive business development with strong academic engagement, ensuring opportunities are identified, shaped and converted into funded projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with LSE academics, Departments and Centres, as well as external clients and partners, to grow the consulting portfolio.
  • Sourcing and qualifying tender opportunities, supporting bid preparation and proposal design, and reviewing submissions to ensure clarity, consistency and compliance.
  • Supporting the development of new client-focused offers and proposals, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to shape high-quality, competitive bids.
  • Contributing to research and market analysis, drawing on qualitative and/or quantitative methods where relevant.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in business development, ideally in a consulting or research environment, and confidence working with a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
