Committees and Governance Manager
Salary from ÂŁ43,277 to ÂŁ51,714 pa inclusive with potential to progress to ÂŁ55,497 pa inclusive of London allowance.
LSE is a world‑leading university specialising in teaching and research in the social sciences, with a diverse international student and staff body and a global reputation for academic excellence. We are seeking to recruit a full‑time Committees and Governance Manager to support how research is governed and regulated by a range of committees and groups. The post‑holder will have oversight of the School\’s research‑related committees, Research Centre and Institute review processes and related policies and procedures. The post‑holder will work across teams, and with members of the School Management Committee, and will require an understanding of research at the School and in the external higher education landscape in order to provide a holistic approach to research governance at LSE.
The post‑holder will be the point of expertise on LSE\’s research governance through a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of regulations, procedures, policies and systems relating to LSE\’s research governance. They will provide support to research‑related committees and working groups, including minuting meetings and advising on interpretation of policies and procedures.
Candidates should have excellent command of English and the ability to communicate confidently with high profile individuals. Experience of servicing committees and writing minutes is essential, as is the ability to work across different teams, pro‑actively and flexibly, and experience of working to a high standard and taking a professional pride in delivering excellent service.

LSE is a campus‑based university and staff are expected to attend the London campus in fulfilling their role. Most staff balance working from the campus or remotely. For this particular role, the duties are such that we can offer flexible working patterns, while noting that many committees will be held in person on campus.
