JOB TITLE: Sport Facility Coordinator

SALARY: £30,900 per annum pro rata

LOCATION: LSE Students’ Union, Central London Office

WORKING HOURS: Full time, 37 hours per week

CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent

Join LSE Students’ Union as a Facility Coordinator and play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective operation of LSESU Sport, Fitness, and Performance facilities.

You will lead the daily operations, manage a broad bookings system, and provide exceptional customer service to students and external clients. If you’re passionate about creating a positive user experience and improving facilities, we want to hear from you!

Who are we?

LSESU is a vibrant, student-led organisation committed to helping LSE students make the most of the life-changing experiences open to them during their time at university. As part of our Senior Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in shaping our future and helping us to create a student experience which is enjoyable and empowering.

Founded in 1897, LSE Students’ Union is one of the oldest Students’ Unions in the UK. We provide support, representation, and opportunities to help students thrive during their time at university. Everything we do is shaped by our members and guided by our values to be bold and inclusive, working collaboratively to create a welcoming community built on integrity and respect.

Who are we looking for?

LSESU is looking for a proactive, organised and customer-focused Sport Facilities Coordinator to oversee the daily operation of our sports facilities, ensuring high standards of service, health and safety, and an excellent user experience.

You will manage internal and external bookings, support the delivery of major sporting events, and oversee the training and development of student staff. Working closely with the Operations and Sport Facilities Manager, you will contribute to the ongoing development of our facilities, supporting day-to-day operations, administrative and financial tasks, and continuous improvements. You'll collaborate with staff and students, helping deliver a positive, inclusive and high-quality experience for all users.

We’re looking for someone with excellent organisational and communication skills, a strong customer service ethos, and the confidence to lead and support a diverse team. Experience in facilities management or sports event coordination would be beneficial, but above all, you should be proactive, adaptable and able to solve problems effectively. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working collaboratively, and be passionate about delivering high-quality services and enhancing the student experience.

Why apply?

As our Sport Facility Coordinator, you will have a chance to make a real impact on student life at one of the world’s leading universities. You’ll work in a collaborative, values-driven environment, supporting passionate student leaders and shaping initiatives that matter. We offer:

  • 25 days of holiday per year (pro rata)

  • Free LSE Students’ Union gym membership
  • Opportunities for professional development and growth.
  • Access to TOTUM (NUS) card, which provides a wide range of discount
  • Flexibility for work-life balance
