Overview

Hybrid (Remote + London observations) | Freelance

London School of Childcare Studies is a growing specialist training provider delivering high-quality vocational qualifications in Early Years and Supporting Teaching and Learning.

We are looking for an experienced Assessor to support learners studying:

  • NCFE CACHE Level 3 Early Years Educator
  • NCFE CACHE Home-based Childcare Award
  • NCFE CACHE Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • NCFE CACHE Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning (Award, Certificate & Diploma)

This is a hybrid role. Most work is completed remotely, with occasional in-person observations in London-based settings (early years settings and schools).

Responsibilities

We are looking for an assessor to support learners and facilitate their progression across the listed qualifications. This includes coordinating and conducting remote and in-person assessment activities, providing timely feedback, and ensuring learners meet the required standards for each qualification.

Requirements

  • Holds a recognised assessor qualification (A1 or Level 3 CAVA)
  • Holds a teaching qualification (AET / CET / DET / Cert Ed)
  • Has a strong, holistic understanding of the Early Years and/or education sector
  • Is confident supporting independent learners
  • Is willing to travel across London for observations
