Risk and Assurance Manager Role Profile

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Reporting Office: London, Stratford or Manchester, Trafford

Persona: Agile, Office based 20-40% per week

We are seeking a candidate with the skills, experience, and passion to embed a strong approach to risk management and assurance to support better decision-making across the Group, deliver our Corporate strategy, and ensure reliable, consistent services for residents.

In this role, you will help shape and mature our group-wide approach to risk and assurance, leading efforts to gain buy-in from across the business and ensuring effective rollout. Drawing on sector knowledge, internal and external data, and best practices, you will help improve how L&Q manages risk, controls, and assurance.

You will be part of a small central team supporting the business in understanding risks, evaluating controls, and identifying improvements. You will work closely with leaders and teams to understand risks in their areas and develop effective management strategies.

You will also assist in delivering a second line assurance program, reviewing control effectiveness, and advising on improvements. Additionally, you will play a key role in the Group\’s internal controls, ensuring data-driven reporting and effective communication through governance structures to support informed decision-making and strategic risk appetite setting.
