An exciting position has become available for a full-time experienced multi-skilled Electrician to join and lead our team of Testers/Electricians/and Electrical Improvers. This is a full-time PAYE position, CIS is also possible, if preferred. The ideal candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of EICRs, electrical installations, remedials and maintenance in accordance with BS7671: 18th Edition whilst ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction working as part of a growing team.
The role is suitable for a well-rounded operative who can carry out EICRs to domestic properties along with install/remedial works, as well as attending to emergency property maintenance callouts as required on rota. The role will also involve leading the team to NICEIC requirements.
Role Requirements- Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of electricians & improvers, ensuring high performance, productivity, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, promoting a positive work environment and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Completing Electrical Installation condition reports & certification (essential).
- Minor & remedial install works such as new lighting/sockets & smoke alarms.
- Reactive maintenance work and fault-finding.
- Full rewires and installation of fire alarms and detection systems.
- Domestic electrical works working on both occupied and void housing.
- Consumer unit upgrades.
- Wiring of Y and S plan control systems and testing of hot water cylinder controls.
- Working to strict timescales.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Working as part of a team and on their own initiative.
- Dealing with a wide range of people including administration staff & customers.
- Emergency callout cover on rota, including over Christmas (extended rates apply).
- Proven experience.
- Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a focus on delivering efficient and effective solutions.

- Professional attitude.
- 3 years Test and inspection experience including fault finding.
- JIB Gold Card.
- NVQ Level 3 (Maintenance or Installation).
- 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regs qualification and sufficient knowledge.
- City & Guilds 2391-52 Inspection and Testing.
- Domestic experience.
- A valid ECS card (preferable).
- Valid full UK driving license.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Proof of qualifications upon request.
- Own tools & test equipment.
- Own van (not essential).
